FSEP Grower Workshop

Farm to School is a growing movement here in Southeast Michigan.  Many Schools are looking at ways to make their school lunch taste better and more appealing to students.  As a result, Food Service Dicrectors across the region are turning to local farms in search of locally grown produce.  Don't let this opportunity to increase your market share pass you by.  Join us Thursday, January 22, 2009 at 1:00 pm to learn more about the types of produce schools are purchasing and how to sell directly to schools.

Program highlights will include:

  • Getting Started
  • How to Develop Community Connections
  • Types of Produce Schools Commonly Use
  • How to Prepare Product Availability Lists and Appropriate Pricing and Bid Forms
  • How to Develop Contracts with Schools
