Food System Economic Partnership

Purpose Statement

FSEP stimulates and supports change in how the food system operates in our region by creating an interface to the entrepreneurial community. We provide diverse food system entrepreneurs with access to market information and tools, business development support, educational opportunities, and access to our growing network of food system experts and resource providers.

Objectives

1. Assist entrepreneurs and community groups with development of projects and businesses.
2. Bring together available resources and expertise to assist agri-food entrepreneurs and lower the barriers to entry and expansion of locally-based food system business in the region.
3. Attract public and private sector investment in businesses and projects that advance FSEP’s mission.
4. Create networking opportunities for food system businesses.

Outputs

• Farmer Inventory - an initial database of local farms
• Property Locator Assistance - FSEP has compiled here a list of local representatives that can assist entrepreneurs in locating appropriate facilities to house new ventures in the five county area.
