Susan Lackey
Washtenaw Land Trust

Susan Lackey is Executive Director of the Washtenaw Land Trust in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She has previously served as President of the Washtenaw Development Council, and the Senior Vice President of Economic Development at the Cornerstone Alliance/Chamber of Commerce in Benton Harbor, Michigan. Susan has served on the boards of several local organizations devoted to land conservation and economic development, and also teaches Economic Development and Urban Planning at Eastern Michigan University. She was named one of Crain’s Detroit 100 Most Influential Women in 2002, one of Business Direct Weekly’s Most Influential Women in 2003, and received the Michigan Economic Developers Association Mike Conboy Award for Educational Leadership in 2007. Susan holds a BPh in Political Science and American Literature from Grand Valley State University, and an MPA with an emphasis in Urban Planning from Western Michigan University.
